The Picnic Train runs return trips from Gosford to Hawkesbury River during the October school holidays.
You leave from Gosford Railway Station and travel through Woy Woy and Mullet Creek. The train also crosses the Hawkesbury River Bridge.
On the return trip, the steam locomotive pulls the train back towards Gosford.
You can choose a private compartment, group seating or a single First Class seat.
A buffet car sells light snacks and drinks. You can also bring your own picnic hamper.
