What Forresters Beach Is Like
Forresters Beach is a quiet stretch of coastline backed by green bluffs and scattered homes. It’s the kind of place that still feels unhurried.
Compared to busier spots like Terrigal nearby, it has a more natural, locals-first character.
As an open ocean beach, it can get big swell, so the waves can pack a punch and rips are common, which is worth keeping in mind before you wade in.
The limited facilities are part of the appeal; aside from a toilet block near the beach access, there’s little to distract from the sand and the sea.
Swimming and Surfing
Forresters Beach is best for experienced swimmers and surfers who want a quieter surf spot.

There are no patrols here, so always check the conditions before you go in the water.
Surfers come for the steady waves and reef breaks along the coast.
If you want safer swimming, try nearby beaches like Shelly Beach or Wamberal.
Forresters Beach is dog-friendly, and some areas allow dogs off-leash.
It’s also a great place for long walks on the sand.
